How long does it take to learn touch typing?
With 20 minutes a day, most learners finish these lessons in one to two weeks and can type without looking in about a month. Expect to feel slower than your old two-finger typing for the first week or two. That is normal, and it passes: touch typists keep improving long after hunt-and-peck typists hit their limit.
After the lessons
Move to paragraph practice and short typing tests, then to the exam simulations when you reach 25 to 30 WPM.
