How to type in Marathi using an English keyboard

Write the word the way it sounds, in English letters, and press Space. The top suggestion is inserted; click any other suggestion to change it. Ctrl + G switches between Marathi and English, so you can mix English words like names or brands in the same sentence.

Marathi is written in Devanagari, like Hindi, but uses letters such as ळ and the eyelash ऱ more often, and has its own spellings: aahe gives आहे, mhanun gives म्हणून.
