What the certificate shows
Your name, the test language and length, your net speed in WPM, accuracy, gross speed, key depressions per hour, the date and a certificate ID. It downloads as a high-resolution PNG you can print or attach to a CV or job application.
Is it an official certificate?
No, and we say so on the certificate itself. It is a self-assessment that records a result you achieved on EnglishTyping.in. Government recruitment always runs its own skill test. Use the certificate to show employers or institutes your current speed, and take a new test whenever your speed improves.
If you need an official typing qualification, look at state certifications such as CPCT in Madhya Pradesh or a typing certificate from a recognised institute in your state.
Tips for a strong certificate
Take the 5 or 10 minute version, because employers trust longer tests more. Warm up with a couple of 1-minute tests first, and pick a passage at your level from the Passage menu.

Is the typing certificate free?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up.
Can I get a Hindi typing certificate?
Yes. Take the test on the Hindi typing test page and use the same Get certificate button.
Can someone verify my certificate?
Results are stored only in your browser, so we cannot verify certificates. Offer to retake a test in front of the employer instead.
